You lifted me




You lifted me into your wave of tenderness
& let me know in your arms I am safe
you took away the darkness that always tried to set in
yet you loved me & forgave me of all of my sins
You wiped away all of my sorrow & tears
& said with you I never have to fear
You love me so much, I can never understand
but your tenderness & mercy are always at hand
